RefWorks: ProQuest RefWorks User Guide

Sharing References in Google Docs

It's easy to share references within Google Docs.   All people sharing must have two things:

  • Access to the file in Google Docs
  • A valid account in new RefWorks
  • Access to the shared RefWorks folder​ you'll be using

 

Simply go into your shared Google Doc and click the blue "Share" box in the upper right corner.  This will allow you to share your documents with whomever your specify.   If you have shared a RefWorks folder with those people (and have given them the appropriate permissions) you can all add to, read, edit and even annotate the documents in the folder.  

When you are ready to write your paper, Google Docs works with RefWorks to assist in creating in-text citations and creating your bibliography.
