Your Library Account

Are you new to the library?

If you have not yet registered for a as a borrower, you may do so in person at the Library Services Desk in Suite 571 of the Armour Academic Center or by filling out the online library registration form below.

Access to Library Materials

Materials at RUSH

All registered users of the Library can check out materials and use the Library’s online resources. To register, stop by the Library Services Desk or fill out the form above.

Off-Campus Access

Members of the RUSH community may access Library resources from off campus via a proxy account. RUSH faculty and employees may login with their RUSH username and password. 

Materials at Other Libraries

Interlibrary Loan

You may request, book chapters, and journal articlesnot availavle from RUSH via ILLiad, the library's online interlibrary loan system. Access this system along with instructions using the Log in button in the menu above.

I-Share

The Library of RUSH University Medical Center is a member of a group of more than 100 Illinois academic and institutional libraries that offer reciprocal borrowing. I-Share is a free service offered to RUSH University Medical Center personnel through our online catalog. Libraries that participate in this reciprocal agreement in the Chicago area include UIC, UIUC, NEIU, North Park University, Robert Morris University, Roosevelt University, Adler University, SAIC, Elmhurst University, Dominican University, Concordia University, Oakton College, Harper College, DePaul, and IIT.

Reference Services

Reference librarians are available to help you learn how to answer research questions. Set up an appointment by using the Ask a Question button on the library's home page.  Librarians can be reached at (312) 942-5950 or library@rush.edu. We also have Chat, also available from the library's homepage. 

Librarian Assisted Searches

Our librarians provide comprehensive literature searches. Prior to utilizing our Librarian Assisted Search service, we ask that students meet with a librarian to learn database searching strategies.

Individual and Group Instruction

Reference librarians can meet with you in individual, small group, and classroom settings to provide instruction on Library services, the research process, online searching, or any other topic you specify. To schedule a session, contact the reference staff by calling 312-942-5950 or emailing library@rush.edu
