Interlibrary loan can be used to request PDFs of journal articles and book chapters and physical items which are not available through the I-Share network. ILLiad is the online interlibrary loan request and delivery system used at RUSH.
To register as an ILLiad user:
Journal Article and Book Chapter Requests
Journal articles and book chapters are delivered electronically and are free for students, faculty, and staff. Requests may be submitted 24/7 via ILLiad, but are processed during the library's staffed hours. Nearly 80% of requests are filled within 3 business days.
Physical Print Material and Media Requests
Print materials and media requests are free for students, faculty, and staff. Print materials and media are shipped to RUSH through the US Postal Service and commercial carriers, and may take up to 2 weeks for delivery.
Other Media
Dissertations, complete ebooks, and government documents are not normally available via interlibrary loan. If you have a question about a specific request, please contact us via chat or the library's Ask A Question form.
Many frequently asked questions about ILLiad are answered on the library's FAQ and help topic page. Have questions or need assistance? Fill out the library's Ask a Question form.
