Are you a new graduate?

RUSH University alumni are automatically registered as alumni borrowers for at least one full year following graduation.

Not sure if you have registered with the library?

If you graduated more than one year ago, you simply need to contact the library to re-register by contacting the Library Services Desk at (312) 942-5950, lib_circ@rush.edu, or by completing the form below. There is no limitation on the length of time alumni can remain RUSH University borrowers.

To update the contact information on your borrower registration, please contact the Library Services Desk at (312) 942-5950, lib_circ@rush.edu, or by completing the form below.

Graduates of RUSH University have limited library privileges. Alumni may borrow books from RUSH's collection and consult with reference librarians. Unfortunately, I-Share borrowing and interlibrary loan services can only be offered to current RUSH faculty, staff and students. Contact the Library Services Desk at (312) 942-5950 or library@rush.edu for more information. Standard local borrowing policies and fines apply to our alumni users.

Access to the library's physical space and in-person services are by appointment only. If possible, we recommend scheduling your appointment at least 3 business days in advance of your visit to ensure the library will be open and any requested materials will be ready for pickup or use. Email library@rush.edu to request an appointment.

The library’s online resources are available to all RUSH University alumni while visiting RUSH's campus. Unfortunately, due to the terms of our agreements with our resource providers, we are only able provide off-campus access to our subscribed and purchased content for current RUSH faculty, staff and students. There are, however, many other options. Below is a link to a guide that we have created that lists many of the more popular online sources of free and open access scholarly articles:
