What is PubMed Central?

PubMed Central® (PMC) is very similar to PubMed.  It is a smaller collection of citations for free biomedical and life sciences literature.  However, we recommend that you do not rely on PMC.  As a Rush associate, you have access to many journals, books and other media that can be found in PubMed - but as they are a paid subscription, you will not find them in PubMed Central.

What is PubMed?

PubMed is the free public interface to the database MEDLINE, created by the National Library of Medicine (NLM).  PubMed comprises more than 32 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links directly to full-text content.
