Research Assistance

Librarian Assistance

Librarians are available to help with your research! These sessions can be catered to fit various needs.

Some examples of the assistance librarians can provide include:

  • Identifying keywords and controlled vocabulary
  • Understanding and using Boolean operators
  • Guiding a literature search for a coursework
  • Assistance with citation management systems (i.e. RefWorks, Covidence) and other research tools
  • Understanding what databases and other resources the library has available

Librarian assisted searches require an appointment with a reference librarian and lasts approximately an hour. For longer sessions, an additional appointment may be needed. These meetings are designed for individuals or small groups. For larger groups, please see Instruction Sessions
