Use quotation marks to keep the phrase together: If the name of the test you seek has more than one word, put the name inside quotation marks. This will return result that contain that exact phrase. Without quotes, you will get results that have all of the words, but not in any particular order or even in the same sentence.
For example, searching for the Beck Depression Scale without quotes in PsycINFO yielded over 22,000 results. Putting the phrase within quotes returned only 147 results.
Source Field: Most databases default to searching in "any field." You usually have the option to change that to "Tests and Measures" or "Title." Please note that the options here are numerous and you will have to page down to find "Tests and Measures."
CINAHL, HAPI and Mental Measurements are all provided to RUSH by EBSCO, and EBSCO allows users to search multiple databases at once. To do so, log into one of the databases mentioned above (always start at the library home page to access the databases). Look for the words "Choose Databases" and click that link. Then select the databases you are interested in.
Note that the title of the test is in quotation marks to keep the phrase together. Also the field code was changed so that this phrase shows up in the Title. You can also change the field code to "Tests and Measures."
