Saving Searches
There are multiple ways to save a search.
Saving citations
To save individual citations, click the bookmark icon to the right of the title.
The citation will now appear in Saved, which you can find in the left-hand menu. Saved citations have blue bookmark.
Saved Projects
CINAHL now allows you to create "Projects" that allow for multiple search strategies to be saved to an existing Project. You can also save individual articles to a Project.
- Under "Recent History" you will identify the search you want to save. Then you will click on the three dots on the right hand side. This will display additional options. Here you will select "Add to Project."
- Next you will see a new pop-up asking you to choose a project. If you already have an existing project you can select it, if not you will select the "New project" option.
- The next step is name your project. You can even add a due date and a description. Then click "create."
You will now have that search saved in your projects!
Saving Results
Results can be saved to a project individually or multiple at a time. If you don't know how to create a project please see above.
To save results individually follow these steps:
- First you will select the article you wish to save. Then you will click on the three dots on the right hand side. This will display additional options. Here you will select "Add to Project"
- Next you will see a new pop-up asking you to choose a project to save the article to. If you already have an existing project you can select it, if not you will select the "New project" option.
- Then you will select "Add Now" and the result should be saved to your project.
To save multiple results at once, follow the steps below:
- First you will select the articles you wish to save. You can do multiple at a time. Then you will click the folder icon at the top of the results.
- Next you will see a new pop-up asking you to choose a project to save the article to. If you already have an existing project you can select it, if not you will select the "New project" option. Once the project is selected, you can click "Add Now" to save the selected articles to your project.
