What is Emtree?
Emtree is a retrieval tool; it helps locate articles that may be appropriate for you research. Emtree is the controlled vocabulary used for indexing articles in Embase, it is very similar in concept to the MeSH terms in PubMed and Ovid.
Emtree includes terms for:
- Drugs and medical devices
- Diseases and biological functions
- Medical procedures including traditional Chinese practices
- Study types and much more
How Do I Use Emtree?
Emtree terms are automatically searched when keywords are entered. For example, typing "child" in the initial search screen automatically brings up suggested Emtree terms.
