Guide to using the Cochrane Library database for research

Saving Searches

To save a search you must first be logged in. Check out Creating an Account for more information. Cochrane Library does not have the option to save individual publications; you can only save entire searches.

1. Once you're logged in and have a search you are happy with and wish to save, you will click on "Save this search." This can be found in two different locations as seen below.

2. Once selected you will have the option to "save" or "save as."

  • If this is your first time saving this search, you can click either one.
  • If you are updating a search as you have been working on a search
    • "save" will save your updates search and overwrite any existing version
    • "save as" will save this search as a new project.

3. The next page is where you name your project. You can even add a description. Then click "save."

That's it, you've successfully saved your search.
