Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn)

The RUSH University Library subscribes to several databases that may be useful as you conduct your research. In this guide, you will find overviews for a few of the databases we subscribe to including:

• CINAHL (a nursing database)
• ERIC (an education database)
• PubMed (biomedical database that searches MEDLINE and other resources)
• Scopus (database containing abstracts and citations from peer-reviewed scientific journals)

• American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) Red Book

  • The AAP's authoritative guide to the manifestations, etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of more than 200 childhood conditions. The Red Book provides evidence-based guidance to practicing clinicians on pediatric infections and vaccinations based on the recommendations of the committee as well as the combined expertise of the CDC, the FDA and hundreds of physician contributors.

• Childstats.gov Forum on Child and Family Statistics
  • The Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics, or the Forum, is a working group of Federal agencies that collect, analyze, and report data on issues related to children and families. The Forum has partners from 22 Federal agencies as well as partners in private research organizations.
• LactMed:
  • The LactMed® database contains information on drugs and other chemicals to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed. It includes information on the levels of such substances in breast milk and infant blood, and the possible adverse effects in the nursing infant

This guide also contains information about linking  Google Scholar to the RUSH University Library. Then the Get it at RUSH link will appear in the description of the resources you find by searching Google Scholar. You can access the full-text if it is in the Library's holdings or request it via ILLiad.
