CINAHL: Importing Citations into RefWorks

Perform your search using any EBSCO database (CINAHL, PsycInfo, and ERIC are popular examples).

  • When you find a citation you want to keep, click the box icon to the left of the citation.  You can download just that single citation or you can continue to select boxes and download several at once.
  • You can also send citations to a Folder, which saves them until you log out. This allows you to bulk download your saved citations. To do this, click the icon of a folder with a plus sign. You do need to be signed in to use this feature.
  • When all your boxes are selected, click the down arrow immediately to the right of the blue box

  • Choose "Export Results"

For more information about using CINAHL, you can access our guide here: CINAHL

  •  click the image of a file with a plus sign and choose "Add File"

  • Select the file you want. If you just downloaded a file from a database, it should be in your Downloads folder.
  • IMPORTANT: This imports an image of a file into folder into your collection. Click (or double-click) the image of the file folder and import its contents.  This might create a new folder; if so, rename the folder.
