Medical College Research Guide

This guide is intended to help medical school faculty, staff, and students find peer-reviewed and scholarly articles, clinical tools, and data and statistics. Questions about how to conduct a literature search? Make an appointment with a librarian for a one-on-one research consultation.

Need extra help? Schedule an appointment with our librarians. These sessions can be catered to fit various needs. 

Some examples of the assistance librarians can provide include:

• Identifying keywords and controlled vocabulary
• Understanding and using Boolean operators
• Guiding a literature search for a coursework
• Help with a systematic/scoping review
• Assistance with citation management systems (i.e. RefWorks, Covidence) and other research tools
• Understanding what databases and other resources the library has available and how to use the

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, online and in-person. Please note, same-day appointments are difficult to accommodate. If possible, request your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are offered at no cost.
