This guide is intended to help College of Health Sciences students, faculty, and staff find peer-reviewed and scholarly articles, clinical tools, and data and statistics. Questions about how to conduct a literature search? Make an appointment with a librarian for a one-on-one research consultation.

Librarian Assistance

Need extra help? Schedule an appointment with our librarians. These sessions can be catered to fit various needs. 

Some examples of the assistance librarians can provide include:

  • Identifying keywords and controlled vocabulary
  • Understanding and using Boolean operators
  • Guiding a literature search for a coursework
  • Help with a systematic/scoping review
  • Assistance with citation management systems (i.e. RefWorks, Covidence) and other research tools
  • Understanding what databases and other resources the library has available and how to use the

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, online and in-person. Please note, same-day appointments are difficult to accommodate. If possible, request your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are offered at no cost.
