Faculty are required to make appointments at least 24 hours in advance to have exams scanned. Appointments will be scheduled in one hour time slots. If you prefer to give the ATC Staff your syllabus containing exam dates at the beginning of each quarter, we will schedule future appointments for you.
We will schedule Rush Medical College appointments in advance based upon the Registrar's printed course schedule for each term. If you do not make an appointment 24 hours in advance, your exam will be scanned as it can be fit into the scanning schedule.
Faculty Preparation for Scanning
Before you turn in your exams for scanning, please count the number of exams and write the number on the scanning request form. This will alert the ATC Staff if there is a discrepancy between the number turned in and the number scanned. If you do not wish to count the exams, we will ask you to sign the bottom of the Request Form, and your exam results will be delayed if there is a discrepancy.
Please bring your exams and answer key to the ATC (TOB 135) and speak with a staff member Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM to leave them with a ATC staff member. The ATC Staff member may not be available to talk with you at the time you bring in your forms to be scanned.
All exams scheduled 24 hours in advance will be scanned and ready for pickup at the ATC within 24 hours after their scheduled scanning appointment. Without an appointment, we cannot guarantee a 48-hour turnaround time.
(Please ensure that students have filled out the I.D. portion of the scantron. Failure to do so could result in a delay of the grading of the exam)
Re-grades will be done within 24 hours of the drop-off time.
Modification of exam forms/computing student grades
In no case may the ATC Staff enter any data of any kind on any exam form. If there is more than one correct answer, the faculty member responsible for the exam must make any and all changes. In no case may the ATC Staff, compute/record student grades for faculty. Data will be provided in Excel format upon request.
No appointment is necessary for scanning of course evaluations or surveys. Please bring them to the METC Service Point and leave with a full-time staff member Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Course evaluations and surveys are normally completed within two weeks and are completed in the order received. Please pick up your evaluations or surveys promptly when notified. We have no room for storage. All evaluations not picked up within one week after notification of supervisor will be destroyed.
