Nature Methods ISSN: 1548-7105
Nature Methods is a forum for the publication of novel methods and significant improvements to tried-and-tested basic research techniques in the life sciences. This monthly publication is aimed at a broad, interdisciplinary audience of academic and industry researchers actively involved in laboratory practice. It provides researchers with new tools to conduct their research and places a strong emphasis on immediate practical relevance and potential to advance new biological applications.
Nature Microbiology ISSN: 2058-5276
Nature Microbiology is interested in all aspects of microorganisms, be it their evolution, physiology and cell biology; their interactions with each other, with a host or with an environment; or their societal significance. Nature Microbiology provides a place where all researchers and policymakers interested in microorganisms can come together to learn about the most accomplished and significant advances in the field and to discuss topical issues. An online-only monthly journal, our broad scope ensures that the research published reaches the widest possible audience of microbiologists.
Nature Protocols ISSN: 1750-2799
Nature Protocols publishes secondary research articles - predominantly Protocols (including Protocol Updates and Protocol Extensions), but also techniques-related Reviews, Perspectives, Correspondences, Matters Arising, Commentaries, and Consensus Statements - all of which are based on published primary research papers. We cover new techniques and technologies, as well as established methods, used in all fields of the biological, chemical and clinical sciences. Articles are commissioned by the editors. Authors are welcome to submit suggestions for articles as Presubmission Enquiries, which may then be formally commissioned by the editors.
Each Protocol contains a full list of reagents and equipment, timing information, and step-by-step procedures (instructions for performing the experiment), as well as information on designing and adapting the technique, its advantages and limitations compared to alternatives, troubleshooting, analysing data, and interpreting results. We also encourage authors to submit videos for steps that are technically challenging.
Nature Reviews Cardiology ISSN: 1759-5010
Nature Reviews Cardiology's clinical, translational, and basic science content is written by internationally renowned clinicians, academics, and researchers, and targeted towards readers in the biological and medical sciences, from postgraduate level upwards. While intended to be read by practising doctors and research scientists working in the cardiovascular field, we aim to make all our articles accessible to readers working in any biological or medical discipline.
In-depth Reviews present authoritative, up-to-date information on a topic, placing it in the context of a field's history and development. Consensus Statements provide evidence-based recommendations from a task force of experts. Topical discussion and opinions are given in Perspectives and News & Views articles. In the Research Highlights section, we filter primary research from a range of cardiovascular and general medical journals.
